If you are an electric utility steam generating units (EGUs), you may soon receive a Section 114 – Information Collection Request (ICR) letter from the US Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA) requiring you to conduct an air emissions test program at one or more of your facilities in the very near future. The specific objective of this test program is to gather emissions data from various EGUs in order to assist the US EPA in developing emission limits for various hazardous air pollutants (HAP) under 40 CFR Part 63, the National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP), also known as the Boiler MACT.
In 2009, Airtech Environmental Services Inc. (Airtech) successfully completed a host of Section 114 – ICR test programs for various clients with industrial boilers or solid waste incinerators. Now Airtech would like the opportunity to assist you and your staff in making sure that this test program is performed in strict adherence to the required methods and that the emissions results are reported correctly and in accordance with EPA’s requested Electronic Reporting Tool (ERT) format.
The sheer number of EGUs to be tested is certain to tax the resources of target facilities as well as the limited number of qualified testing firms. Airtech can save you time, effort, and money by providing a turn-key solution to your testing needs.
